Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased a picture of Aerodactyl with a coming soon message, Is it Nothing Phone (2a)

Nothing’s mid-range smartphone device, the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a), has been part of many reports and rumors and till now a lot about this device has been revealed. Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, had confirmed a new smartphone that is arriving this year, suggesting the Phone (2a) launch and a follow-up post has pointed to its codename.

Nothing Phone (2a) Codenamed “Aerodactyl” is Arriving Soon

While looking at an earlier update, the Phone (2a) was said to bear codenames – “Pacman” and “Aerodactyl”, and later another report revealed that in four different regions, this device would probably be using codenames of “PacmanIND” for India, “PacmanJPN” for Japan, “PacmanEEA” for Europe, and “Pacman” for the global market.

As mentioned, Carl Pei has officially confirmed the “Aerodactyl” codename for an upcoming smartphone that is soon to launch, further revealing that the Nothing Phone (2a) will be carrying this codename and its launch is near.

In related news, via the Nothing community, it has also been shared regarding how Pokémon codenames have always been part of the brand’s products. Speaking more, this smartphone has received certifications from India’s BIS and UAE’s TDRA authorities. The PVT unit images, expected specifications, storage options, color choices, official wallpapers, launch date, and pricing were also shared in the past few days.

Some of the expected specs include the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, 6.7″ 1084 x 2412 pixels 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP + 50MP dual rear camera unit, 32MP selfie camera, and 4920 mAh battery. 8GB/128GB & 12GB/256GB storage variants and White & Black color choices are also expected. As far as the launch is concerned, the device is suggested to launch next month on the 27th of February 2024 and might be priced at $400 and €400 in the respective markets.
