Nothing Phone (2) Rear Panel Design Revealed

The rear panel design of the Nothing Phone (2) looks more or less similar to the previous model but still, the company has tried to improvise it and has brought a few changes to it, as confirmed by Carl Pei, retaining the unique transparent design.

Firstly, let’s speak about the new glyph interface. The upcoming Nothing Phone 2 has a similar glyph interface when compared to its predecessor but with more LED strips on it. The LED strip around the camera module has now been divided into two and the LED strip at the centre has been divided into six. Meaning, in comparison to the previous Nothing Phone (1) which had a total of 5 LED strips, the upcoming smartphone has a total of 11 LED strips. The number of different LED light zones has also been increased in the new model from the previous 12 to 33 different LED light zones in the Nothing Phone (2).

Just to add, previous reports had also mentioned that the upcoming smartphone will also be having a customizable glyph interface along with customizable ringtones.

Coming to its glass back, it is slightly rounded at its edge and features the Nothing branding and other details towards the bottom of the smartphone, at two of its lower ends. The smartphone just like before, also has a dual camera setup at its rear, but its camera specs are still yet to be confirmed. Unlike the previous model, a dual LED flashlight has also been given to the right of the two cameras.

Speaking about its side panels, the previous front and rear design(some parts of it) of the smartphone that was revealed by the company showed the smartphone to have rounded side panels but, the full rear design shows the smartphone to have flat-edged side panels that are rounded at the corner. The volume rocker can be seen on the left side panel whereas the power button are placed on the right side panel.

The rear panel design that has been shared also confirms that the smartphone will be available in two colour options – White and Grey, unlike the previous model which came in White and Black colours.

The well-known tipster, Evan Blass(@evleaks) has also now revealed the press renders of the Nothing Phone (2), which has revealed more about the smartphone’s design aspects.
