Nothing Phone (2a) moniker revealed by TDRA certification, launch imminent

Several reports have claimed that Nothing will soon announce a mid-range phone dubbed the Nothing Phone (2a). The company’s CEO recently wished a happy new year to its fans by hinting that it would soon be unveiling a new phone. It appears that it will not take too long for the Phone (2a) to go official, as it has received approval from the UAE’s TDRA certification body.

While the rumour mill had previously revealed the Nothing Phone (2a) name, the TDRA certification provides the first official confirmation of the device’s moniker. The listing specifies the model number of the Phone (2a) as AI42. This same model number has previously appeared on India’s BIS certification platform. Aside from hinting at an imminent launch, the TDRA listing offers no information regarding the device’s specifications.
