Nothing’s Phone (2a) smartphone has now been certified by the NBTC authority of Thailand. The official press render of the device has also been shared online, revealing a different design.
Here’s more about it.

The Nothing Phone (2a) bearing the model number – “A142” has received the NBTC certification with the certificate number – “B38073-24”. The listing points out that the device would be a cellular mobile with 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity.
Nothing Phone (2a) – Official Press Render
Previously, we had come across the expected design and PVT prototype of the upcoming Phone (2a) device, and the recently shared official press render of the smartphone (~rear panel) reveals a different design unlike what we have been familiar with till now.
Speaking about the design, the design language resembles the transparent design which Nothing had popularized with its devices, however it is entirely different when compared to the Phone (1) and Phone (2) smartphones. There is a circular unit at the top-right part of the rear panel, while there are other design elements in the bottom part. Two projected camera units are also present at the top-left corner, arranged vertically. Notably, the “Nothing” branding is at the bottom-left corner, whereas the other details are noted at the bottom-right portion.
Just like the transparent design language, Nothing had also popularized one more thing, yes the iconic Glyph Interface. Well, it appears that the Phone (2a) would not be having it according to the official press render. This can be assumed as an attempt from the brand’s side to create a distinction or for the purpose of distinguishing its flagships from the mid-range models.
Via.
We are also able to understand that the official press render aligns with a previous prototype design image of the Phone (2a).
Nothing has already officially announced the arrival of the Phone (2a) device and by now, it has received certifications from the TUV, TDRA, and BIS authorities. As far as its launch is concerned, updates suggest that the device could be unveiled this month in February 2024, possibly at the MWC 2024 event [on 27th February 2024].
