OnePlus 12R 5G renders, specs and launch timeline leaked ahead of launch

OnePlus is reportedly working on a new premium R series phone that is expected to come in the upcoming days in the market. This smartphone is the OnePlus 12R 5G which will succeed the 11R 5G that was launched earlier this year and received an overwhelming response because of its design. The company has yet not made any announcement regarding the specs, design, and launch of this smartphone but its renders and key specs have been leaked by MySmartPrice via OnLeaks.

Renders of the smartphone suggest that the OnePlus 12R 5G will retain the same design language as the OnePlus 11R 5G. It will also feature its iconic alert slider for another generation. So you won’t get to see any design change in the smartphone but significant changes in the specifications leaked by the tipster.

Expected specs of OnePlus 12R 5G

According to OnLeaks, the OnePlus 12R 5G smartphone will sport a 6.7 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that is likely to be succeeded by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by the time the smartphone arrives. It is said to be powered by up to 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

As far as the camera is concerned OnLeaks said that this smartphone can retain primary rear and ultrawide cameras of the same MP count (50MP and 8MP, respectively) while a 2 MP macro camera can be swapped with the 32 MP telephoto sensor. The front side of the smartphone can boast a 16 MP camera that we see in the 11R. Its battery is likely to see an upgrade from 5,000 mAh in 11R to 5,500 mAh battery in 12R with support for 100 W fast charging.

After specs and design renders, you must be curious about the launch timeline. According to OnLeaks, this smartphone’s launch event will be hosted in China in January 2024. This smartphone can remain exclusive to some regions in which one of the regions can be India.
