OnePlus Ace 2 Pro to feature OIS 50MP Sony IMX890 lens, camera samples released
OnePlus has been confirming the key specifications before its launch event, which is all set to take place on Aug. 11 in China. Today, the brand confirmed the primary camera details of the Ace 2 Pro.
As can be seen in the above poster, the Ace 2 Pro will come equipped with a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. For those who don’t know, it is the same camera that’s available on the OnePlus 11 5G, the OPPO Reno 10 series, the Nothing Phone (2), and a couple of other phones.
OnePlus states that the Ace 2 Pro is equipped with OPPO’s advanced flagship image algorithm and image engine. Additionally, it is compatible with OPPO’s leading-edge ProXDR photon matrix technology. This innovative photon matrix display technology enhances the contrast between bright and dark elements, effectively replicating the authentic interplay of light and shade in photos.
Shown above are some of the camera samples of the Ace 2 Pro released by the brand. At present, there is no word on the auxiliary cameras on the device.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will have a 6.74-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display with curved edges, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 150W fast charging, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The Ace 2 Pro will compete with the likes of the iQOO 11S and upcoming phones, such as the Redmi K60 Ultra and the Realme GT 5 in the Chinese market.
