OnePlus Ace 3 to feature metal middle frame, offer longer battery life
OnePlus is now gradually confirming the key details of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 flagship phone. The brand has now released two posters to reveal the build quality and battery performance of the device.
The first poster confirms that the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a metal middle frame, which indicates that it will be a sturdy device. A recent report revealed that the device measures 163 x 75 x 8.8mm and weighs around 207 grams. It will arrive in shades like black, blue, and gold.
The other poster confirms that the Ace 3 will offer a longer battery life. According to reports, it will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. While the recently announced OnePlus 12 supports 50W wireless charging, the Ace 3 will lack support for it.
As per other reports, the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Ace 3 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
When it comes to photography, it will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The device will run on the ColorOS 14-based Android 14. It is likely to launch on Jan. 4 in China.
As reports have revealed, the Ace 3 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R in markets outside of China. It is expected to debut with the OnePlus 12 on Jan. 3 globally.
