OnePlus Ace 3V / Nord 4 key specifications leak reveals 1.5K display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
OnePlus has a busy schedule going ahead. The company is going to launch the OnePlus Open foldable phone on Oct. 19 and is expected to unveil the OnePlus 12 in November in China. The brand is also said to be working on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered OnePlus Ace 3, which may also debut this year in China. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed the key specifications of a new mid-range offering from OnePlus for the Chinese market.
Although the tipster hasn’t specified the device’s name, the information shared seems to pertain to the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3V, presumably designed for the Chinese market. It is possible that the same device might be launched in the global market under the name OnePlus Nord 4 or Nord 5, as the number ‘4’ is often considered unlucky in certain Asian countries, including China.
OnePlus Ace 3V / Nord 4 specifications (rumoured)
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3V will arrive with a screen that offers a 1.5K resolution. In all likelihood, the device will have an AMOLED display, which will come integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The Ace 2V featured a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, but OnePlus has opted for Qualcomm’s chip to power the successor model. The tipster added that the device will feature the SM7550 chip, built with TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. While there is no information on the name of the chip, it is speculated to be dubbed the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The tipster further said that the performance of the chip is similar to the existing Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
The OnePlus Ace 2V was announced in March 2023. Hence, it is likely that the Ace 3V may go official around the same time in 2024. Since the device is expected to debut in the coming year, it is likely that it will come preloaded with ColorOS 14-based Android 14 in the Chinese market.
