Samsung has finally launched its foldable while OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of a foldable smartphone. It would be the OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone whose moniker it hinted by writing “We OPEN when others FOLD”. This tweet points towards its largely speculated name OnePlus Open for its foldable that will soon be launched in the market. Ahead of the launch, a tipster named Max Jambor revealed some of the details of this phone in his Twitter post.

According to the tipster, this foldable smartphone will be similar to Oppo’s N series smartphone in terms of aspect ratio and will be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. He also mentioned that this smartphone from OnePlus will be launched in two colour options Black and Green on 29 August.
If we talk about the previous reports around this smartphone, it says that it will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor clocked at 3.36 GHz and it will run OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13. The device will sport an 8-inch foldable AMOLED screen and a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the outside, it has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display that offers the same refresh rate.
As far as its camera is concerned it can come with Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 32-megapixel telephoto periscope telephoto camera on the rear side while the front side with 32 MP camera.
