OnePlus Might Use Samsung’s Display Panels for its Foldable: Launch Likely to Get Delayed
We were expecting the OnePlus Open, the first foldable device from OnePlus to have its launch this month on the 29th of August 2023 but now, the same tipster who had mentioned this is suggesting that the launch might get a little delayed. However, the tipster has managed to share one more interesting specification, the upcoming OnePlus foldable will be having.

OnePlus Open to Feature New Panels from Samsung
As per what the tipster, Max Jambor has mentioned on the Twitter platform, instead of the BOE display screen the upcoming OnePlus foldable was supposed to have, the OnePlus Open will be having new display panels from Samsung and we can expect better display quality on the device in comparison to what was expected from a BOE screen.

OnePlus Open Expected Specifications
Reports reveal that the OnePlus Open is to have AMOLED display panels for both its inner and cover displays with screen sizes of 8″ and 6.5″, respectively. Do note that the inner display will be a foldable AMOLED display screen. Both displays are also expected to support a refresh rate of 120Hz as well.
Regarding the other specifications of the smartphone, the upcoming OnePlus foldable is expected to be powered by the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.36GHz and will likely operate on the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1 custom UI. A 50MP OIS triple camera setup is also expected on the smartphone with a periscope telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom.
Two colour variants are also expected for the foldable smartphone and the device is likely to arrive in Black and Green colour choices.
