OnePlus Open Apex Edition With VIP Mode And 1TB Storage Launched In India

As earlier announced, OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus Open Apex Edition in the Indian market today. This special edition arrives with some new features in addition to the one introduced in the standard versions. Let’s dive in to know the details regarding the availability and features.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition: Availability

This smartphone arrives in Crimson Shadow color. Apex Edition is available in a single storage option- 16GB/1TB that is priced at Rs.149,999. The sale for this special edition device will begin on 10th August at 10 AM via Amazon and OnePlus India’s website.

The company is offering various benefits on the purchase of this device- Rs.20,000 instant bank discount, up to Rs.8,000 exchange bonus, Rs.10,000 special discount, and No Cost EMI facility up to 12 months, up to 3 months of Microsoft 365 personal subscription.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition: Features

Firstly let’s talk about what’s new in this special edition device, it comes with a new AI Eraser and AI Smart Cutout image editing features. It has a new VIP mode for better privacy, this mode can be accessed via alert slider. There is a dedicated security chip that safeguards users’ data. The previous variant of OnePlus Open offered 512GB UFS 4.0 storage but this variant offers 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

Rest the features are the same, it comes with a 7.82-inch wide 2K AMOLED main display that sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,800 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Ultra-Thin Glass for protection. Its cover display is a 6.31-inch wide 2K AMOLED display that sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and Ceramic Guard on top. The OnePlus Open is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with Adreno 740 GPU. It packs 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.

The camera section includes a 48 MP Sony LYT-T808 primary camera with a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera and a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle lens. You also get to see a 20 MP primary front camera and a 32 MP secondary front camera. It runs OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 out of the box. The OnePlus Open is backed by a 4,805 mAh battery that supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging. Additionally, you also get to see an alert slider, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.
