OPPO A98 5G Global Variant Appears on Geekbench: Key Specs Revealed

The global variant of the upcoming OPPO A98 5G has appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing its key specification ahead of being launched.

MySmartPrice article has reported that the global variant of the OPPO A98 5G smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database with a model number of CPH2529. The listing has revealed that the smartphone has scored a single-core score of 885 points and a multi-core score of 2034 points. Some of its key specs have also been revealed.

The Geekbench listing confirms that the OPPO A98 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset and will operate on the Android 13-based ColorOS custom UI. Regarding its architecture, the chipset will have a core configuration of 2+6 cores, and its primary cores will have a clock speed of 2.21 GHz. The other six base cores will be clocked at 1.80 GHz.

The listing has also revealed that the device will have an 8GB RAM variant and a 128GB internal storage variant can also be expected now. More storage variants are also expected and previous reports have indicated a 12GB/256GB storage variant.

OPPO hasn’t come forward with an official launch date for its upcoming A series smartphone, but the device has already appeared on many certification platforms, which include Malaysia’s SIRIM certification, TDRA certification, CQC certification, and the NBTC certification among others, which has pointed to the imminent launch of the smartphone.

From what is now known from the various certifications the device has received, the upcoming OPPO A98 5G smartphone is expected to feature an AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.7″ and is to have a full HD+ screen resolution.

At its rear, the device is also said to have a 108MP main camera along with an additional 2MP depth camera, and for selfies, will also have a 16MP front-facing camera.

The device is also going to be backed by a 4690 mAh battery which would probably support a fast charge feature.
