In November 2022, Sony revealed that its future mobile camera sensors will have the LYTIA branding. So, instead of the IMX prefix that it has been using for its camera sensors, the brand has adopted the LYT prefix. In June this year, the Japanese tech giant announced five LYTIA sensors, such as the LYT900, LYT800, LYT700, LYT600, and LYT500. A Weibo post released by Sony Semiconductor LYTIA today reveals that an upcoming OPPO phone, which is believed to be the OPPO Find N3 foldable phone, will be equipped with a LYTIA image sensor with double-layer transistor pixel technology.
According to tipster WHYLAB, the upcoming OPPO Find N3 will be equipped with a LYT800 53-megapixel (1/1.43-inch) camera sensor. The tipster revealed that the parameters of the LYT800 will be similar to those of the IMX888. He added that the Vivo X000 series will also be equipped with the same camera sensor.
Apart from the above-mentioned primary snapper, the Find N3’s rear camera setup will also have a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. It is said to feature a 32-megapixel camera on the front and a 20-megapixel cover display camera.
OPPO is still silent on the launch date of the OPPO Find N3. While reports are claiming that the device will be unveiled this month in China, it is now being said that it will go official in October. The N3 is likely to be accompanied by other products, such as ColorOS 14, the OPPO Pad Air tablet, and the Enco X3 TWS earbuds.
