Oppo India Teases The Launch Of New Smartphone With AI Capabilities; Could Be Oppo Reno 12 Series

The Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has recently unveiled the Oppo Reno 12 series in the global markets which includes- Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro. This series has already launched in the Chinese market but the Chinese variants are different from the global variants. The series was expected to make its debut in India too but there was no official confirmation made.

Well, neither the design of the smartphone is revealed nor the moniker. But the teaser image reveals two smartphones. It is assumed that this could be the Oppo Reno 12 series as recently the series made its debut in the global markets equipped with few AI features. However, readers are advised to take this information with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation to know the exact monikers.

The series boasts various AI features like- AI LinkBoost, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, AI Best Face, AI Toolbox, and AI Eraser 2.0. Other features include- an in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, stereo speakers, IP65 rating, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Oppo Reno 12

The smartphone features a 6.73-inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ screen resolution, 1200 nits brightness, and arrives with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC and offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.

This global variant arrives with a 50MP Sony LYT600 main camera, an 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera on the rear side while on the front it features a 32MP selfie camera. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro

This device features similar display specs as that of Oppo Reno 12 but rather than Gorilla Glass 7i, it comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It also boosts similar battery and processor specs as that of Oppo Reno 12. It offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. The device packs up a 50MP Sony LYT600 main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto camera, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra wide camera on the rear side while on the front it features a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera.
