Oppo Reno 12 5G Series was officially unveiled in the Chinese market in May while last month the series was unveiled in global markets and the series was also said to soon make its debut in the Indian market as well. Although Oppo Reno 12 5G series global and Chinese variants were similar in terms of design there was a difference in the specs of both variants. Recently Oppo India officially teased the launch of two new smartphones with AI features but the moniker was not revealed by the company, though it was assumed to be the Oppo Reno 12 5G series.
Well, it is now confirmed that the Oppo Reno 12 5G series will be launching soon in the Indian market. The microsite for this upcoming smartphone series has also been made live on Flipkart.
The above image reveals that the Indian variant of these smartphones will be arriving in different color options when compared to its Chinese and global siblings. However, the placement of the camera module and camera sensors is similar to the Chinese and global variants. Oppo Reno 12 5G series will be arriving with AI features.
Oppo is expected to soon announce the launch date of this upcoming smartphone series in India while a few of the key highlights regarding the series might also be teased in the coming days.

The series boasts various AI features like- AI LinkBoost, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, AI Best Face, AI Toolbox, and AI Eraser 2.0. Other features include- an in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, stereo speakers, IP65 rating, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The smartphone features a 6.73-inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ screen resolution, 1200 nits brightness, and arrives with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC and offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.
This global variant arrives with a 50MP Sony LYT600 main camera, an 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera on the rear side while on the front it features a 32MP selfie camera. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging.
Oppo Reno 12 Pro
This device features similar display specs as that of Oppo Reno 12 but rather than Gorilla Glass 7i, it comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It also boosts similar battery and processor specs as that of Oppo Reno 12. It offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. The device packs up a 50MP Sony LYT600 main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto camera, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra wide camera on the rear side while on the front it features a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera.
