Oppo Reno 12 Series Launched In China At The Starting Price Of 2,699 Yuan

Oppo has finally launched the much-awaited smartphone series Oppo Reno 12 in China. The smartphones come with impressive designs and features at the starting price of 2,699 yuan. Both of the smartphones draw their power from the MediaTek processor and feature four curved soft-edge straight screens. The company has also introduced official accessories peripherals that you can use to make your Oppo Reno 12 series handset more attractive than ever.

Oppo Reno 12

The Oppo Reno 12 smartphone features a 6.70″ wide AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that supports HDR10+. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8250 chipset paired with up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB  LPDDR5X RAM. The company claims that users can easily play games at high frame rates with low power consumption. In the camera department, the smartphone features a triple camera setup on the rear. It has got a 50MP main camera +50MP  portrait telephoto camera and 8MP ultra wide angle camera. The front side of the smartphone sports a 50MP selfie shooter. You also get to see features like AI closed eye that restores the image when someone mistakenly closes their eyes at the time of shots, AI cutout, AI elimination, and AI summary generation. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging. It comes in three color options that are Soft Peach, Ebony Black, and Millenium Silver.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphone comes with the same display, battery, and storage as the standard one. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. In the camera department, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphone replaces the rear main camera of Reno 12 with the 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS support while the rest of the cameras are the same as the Oppo Reno 12. It boasts similar AI capabilities of AI cutout, AI elimination, and AI summary generation. The smartphone supports NFC, Wi-Fi 2.0, and an IR blaster, and comes with an X-axis linear motor for haptics that is only in the pro version. It comes in Champagne Gold, Ebony Black, and Magic Purple color options.

Price and availability

The reservation has already begun in China from today though the open sale will begin on May 31st. As far as prices are concerned these are as follows.

This series is soon expected to make its debut in the global market and we are hoping this because of its appearance on a number of certification websites like SDPPI, TDRA, NBTC, and IMDA. But don’t expect similar specs as Oppo may launch it with different specs for the Global market.
