Oppo Reno 12 series tipped to launch in May
Oppo is reportedly working on the Reno 12 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. The rumour mill has been gradually leaking its details over the past few weeks. Recently, a leaker revealed that the Reno 12 series will go official in May.
The above image shows tipster Digital Chat Sation’s claim that the Reno 12 series will feature a display with micro curvature on all four sides. A couple of days ago, tipster Smart Pikachu claimed that the Reno 12 series would be announced around May.
He asserted that the Honor digital series, presumably the Honor 200 series, will compete with the Reno 12 lineup. In all likelihood, Honor may unveil it in May in China.
The Reno 12 series appears to be equipped with AI-driven features and a periscope telephoto camera for a better photography experience. The topmost model in the series appears to be testing with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or 8 Gen 3 chipsets. Therefore, it is probable that one of these chipsets will power the device.
According to a recent report, Oppo is developing the Pad 3 tablet, which will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Tipster Pikachu hinted that new tablets and headphones from Oppo are also in the works. Hence, it is likely that the Oppo Pad 3 may go official alongside the Reno 12 lineup in May. The series may hit the global market in June.
