POCO X5 GT in works, could be rebranded version of this Redmi phone

POCO has recently launched the POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G in the global market. In India, the company is only offering the Pro variant. It appears that the next X5-series phone could be called the POCO X5 GT. A new report by Xiaomiui has revealed key details about the X5 GT. It reveals that the device will yet again be a rebranded version of an existing Redmi phone.

Recently, the 3C authority of China approved a new Redmi phone with model number 23049RAD8C. Reports have claimed that it will be called the Redmi Note 12 Turbo when it debuts in the Chinese market. The same device has appeared in the IMEI database. Rumors are rife that it will debut by the end of March.

The report reveals that its global and Indian variants, with respective model numbers 23049PCD8G and 23049PCD8I, have also appeared in the IMEI database. The IMEI database listings reveal that it will arrive as a POCO-branded device on the global market. The publication has speculated that it could be called the POCO X5 GT in markets outside China and India.

In India, the device will debut as a Redmi model. However, there is a possibility that it will debut as a successor to the Redmi K50i from last year. Hence, in all likelihood, it could be the Redmi K60i.
