Realme 12 Pro Series 5G Teased to Support a 120x Super Zoom Capability

Realme, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, has already confirmed the Indian launch date of the upcoming 12 Pro Series 5G devices and now, via the brand’s official Indian Twitter/X handle, the zooming capability of the series has been teased.

Here’s more about it.

Realme 12 Pro Series 5G – 120x Super Zoom Feature

Realme’s 12 Pro Series 5G is now officially confirmed to support a 120x super zoom feature for the first time on a smartphone device in the respective price segment. This will enable the users of the upcoming smartphones to capture images with subjects that are farthest away from them.

Realme 12 Pro Series 5G will possibly be comprised of two smartphone devices – Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, however a recent update points to an alleged third smartphone with the moniker – “Realme 12 Pro Max 5G“. The official Indian debut will take place at the end of this month, on the 29th of January 2024. The launch page is also live on both the brand’s official Indian website, as well as on Flipkart.

To speak of some of the series’ revealed features, the brand has confirmed a Submarine blue color variant, and the landing page now is also suggesting a Cream/Gold colorway. The smartphones will have a polished sunburst dial, a golden fluted bezel, and a vegan leather rear panel.

Adding more to the zoom feature, it is revealed that the series will allow users to capture DSLR-grade cameras, making use of the 80mm focal length (for superior portrait effects), 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and the teased 120x super zoom.

Other camera specs are the segment’s largest camera sensor – Sony IMX890 with OIS support, OV64B periscope portrait camera sensor, better HDR and Nightscape modes of the segment, and a Cinematic Portrait mode.

Also to add, the Realme 12 Pro might be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Realme 12 Pro+ device could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The TUV and 3C databases had also pointed to specs such as a 5000 mAh battery backup and 67W wired fast charging feature.

Stay tuned for more updates.
