Realme 14x 5G Smartphone Officially Launched in the Indian Market at INR 14,999 Starting Price: First Sale Now Live

The Chinese smartphone maker, Realme, has officially unveiled its first 14 series smartphone model – the Realme 14x 5G in India. The device comes in two storage options and three color choices.

Realme 14x 5G – Launched in India

The Realme 14x 5G comes equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 5G processor and is integrated with the ARM Mali G57 MC2 GPU. It runs on the Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 and is offered in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB storage options. Up to 10GB Dynamic RAM Expansion is also supported on the device. Storage can also be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card.

For its display, it has a 6.67″ HD+ IPS LCD eye comfort display screen (1604 x 720 pixels). The display also has a screen-to-body ratio of 89.97% and supports a peak brightness of 625 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Touch sampling rate of 180Hz, 16.7 million colors color depth, and 1500:1 contrast ratio are other key display specs.

Coming to the cameras, the smartphone sports a 50MP dual rear camera unit and for selfies, it has an 8MP front-facing camera. Clear Shots, Portrait Shots, and AI Clear Face are some of the notable camera features.

Regarding the battery, it packs a 6000 mAh large battery and offers better battery life. For a faster charging experience, a 45W wired fast charging feature is also supported on the device. It is capable of offering up to 2 days of battery life with full charge and while in DOU mode. A 5W OTG reverse charging is also possible.

Other key specs include 5G network connectivity, hybrid dual SIM slot (nano SIM + nano SIM/microSD), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac with 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual band support, Bluetooth 5.3, multiple location positioning systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, & QZSS), USB type-C port, 200% ultra volume mode and Hi-Res Audio support, IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance, military grade durability with MIL-STD 810H certification, Rain Water Smart Touch, Diamond design, 7.94 mm thickness, and 197 gm weight.

The device comes in three color choices – Jewel Red, Golden Glow, and Crystal Black.

Speaking about the price and availability, Realme’s 14x 5G smartphone is priced at INR 14,999 and INR 15,999 respectively for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB storage models. With the INR 1,000 instant bank discount, the effective starting price of the device can even be brought down to INR 13,999. Up to 6 months no cost EMI from INR 2,333 price and free 12 months extended warranty worth INR 1,049 can also be enjoyed by Indian customers.

Moreover, the first sale of the Realme 14x 5G began at the same time it was unveiled in India, today on the 18th of December 2024, at 12 PM local time. It will be live till 11:59 PM on 22nd December 2024.
