Realme GT 5 confirmed to sport an independent display chip X7
In recent months we have witnessed the launch of a number of flagship devices including Redmi K60 Ultra and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. These phones have raised the temperature of the market with large storage and memory. Some of the features like the independent display chip have also raised the bar for upcoming smartphones in the flagship range. One that is straight going to compete with these phones is Realme GT 5 that the company has decided to launch on 28th August.
We are left with only a few days to witness its launch and get to know about this smartphone in detail. The company has been dropping significant information about this phone through its Weibo account for a few days. The company has confirmed another feature of this upcoming phone in a Weibo post.
Independent display chip X7
In a recently shared Weibo post, Realme revealed that Realme GT 5 will sport an independent display chip X7 that will deliver a high frame rate of up to 144 Hz and high image quality of up to 1.5 K resolution. This will let gamers enjoy gaming without any lag at high resolution. The company has also mentioned in a post that smartphone will be powered by a second-generation Snapdragon 8 processor based on TSMC’s 4nm flagship process. It is confirmed to pack up to 1TB of internal storage with 24 GB RAM.
This smartphone is tipped to arrive in two battery variants that can be 4,600 mAh and 5,200 mAh. These variants are expected to support 150 W and 240 W fast charging, respectively. Reports suggest that this smartphone can be followed by the Pro model that can be powered by third generation Snapdragon 8 processor. It is also tipped to come with a curved edge display and a periscope zoom camera.
As of now, the company has not made any announcement regarding the Pro model but if reports are to be believed it can come soon.
