Realme GT 5 to Feature Industry’s Best Three Frequency GPS Positioning System

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Realme, has already confirmed the launch date of its upcoming GT 5 smartphone and now, one of the features that the device will be having has been teased ahead of the launch.

Even after confirming the launch date of Realme’s GT 5 smartphone, the brand has been teasing the smartphone and its features frequently, and a lot about the smartphone and its specs have been revealed in the past few days.

Now, via a Weibo post, Realme has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone device will be featuring a three-frequency GPS positioning system and is likely to offer the industry’s best positioning experience to its users. It will support L1, L2, and L5 GPS bands and also a four-frequency Beidou positioning system – B1l, B1C, B2a, and B2b. The device will also support lane-level navigation and positioning.

Realme’s GT 5 smartphone will be having its launch on the 28th of August 2023 in China, at 2 PM local time, and the Buds Air 5 earbuds will be launched alongside the smartphone. Just to mention, Realme has already launched the Buds Air 5 earbuds in India, along with the Buds Air 5 Pro and the Realme 11 5G and 11x 5G smartphones.

About the specifications of the upcoming device, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will feature a Pro XDR high dynamic display with a 1.5K screen resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. At its rear, a triple camera setup is expected and the main camera will support both PDAF and OIS. The device will have two battery variants as well, one backed by a 5240 mAh battery and supporting a 150W fast charge feature, and the other is believed to be a 4600 mAh battery variant which supports a fast charge feature of 240W.
