Realme GT 7 Pro India Launch Officially Confirmed: To be Country’s First Snapdragon 8 Elite Smartphone

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Realme, has now officially confirmed the launch of its GT 7 Pro smartphone in the Indian market. The upcoming device would be arriving as India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone.

Realme GT 7 Pro – India Launch in November 2024 

The latest Realme GT 7 Pro smartphone will be making its debut in the brand’s home market in China this month, in October 2024, and it is now official that the device would be launched in the Indian market a month later, in November 2024. The update was shared via Realme’s official X/Twitter handle, and it has also been revealed that Realme GT 7 Pro will be India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite powered smartphone as expected. It will be unveiled and made available on the Amazon India shopping platform as an Amazon Specials product. With the hashtag ‘#DarkHorseofAI’, the brand also points to the device’s AI capabilities as well.

Apart from the Indian market, it has been reported that the global launch of the GT 7 Pro device will be taking place simultaneously in more than ten markets. This is said to include European countries like Italy and Spain, as well as South-East Asian countries such as Malaysia and Thailand. Just to add, we recently spotted the global variant of the Realme GT 7 Pro smartphone on Thailand’s NBTC database following its Camera FV 5 and TUV SUD listings. Other than Realme, OnePlus, Honor, iQOO, and Xiaomi are also going to launch their Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones globally and in India following their Chinese debut.

As mentioned, the Realme GT 7 Pro would be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and will have the Android 15 based Realme UI 6.0 custom skin out of the box. It is said to feature a micro-quad-curved display with 1.5K resolution and 2000 nits brightness. Cameras expected include a 50MP IMX906 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto 3x zoom camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera. On the battery side, a 6500 mAh battery backup, and a 120W wired fast charging feature are expected. It has also been reported that the upcoming device could be the brand’s first smartphone to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68/69 rated dust and water resistant body.
