Redmi 13 5G bags 3C certification, fast charging speed revealed

According to reports, Redmi is developing the Redmi 13 5G for markets such as India, and China. According to reports, the device’s model numbers for the aforementioned markets are (2406ERN9C/I). It appears that the device may launch soon in China, as it has now received approval from the 3C certification platform in the country.

The screengrab above shows that China’s 3C certification platform has approved the 2406ERN9CC Xiaomi phone. The listing confirms that the device may ship with an MDY-16-ED charger that offers up to 33W fast charging. Apart from China, the device has also been approved by India’s BIS certification platform.

According to recent leaks, the device will come with a 5,000mAh battery and the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Last year’s Redmi 12 5G came with 18W charging support for its 5,000mAh battery. While there won’t be any change in the battery capacity for the Redmi 13 5G, it now seems that the device will arrive with a major improvement in the charging department.

The Redmi 13 5G is also expected to run on the latest Android 14 OS with a layer of HyperOS on top. However, the other details of the phone are yet to be revealed.

According to related news, Redmi’s sibling brand Poco is reportedly developing the Poco M7 Pro 5G smartphone. The device, which is said to have the 24066PC95I model number, is expected to be released in India as the rebranded version of the Redmi 13 5G.
