Xiaomi is preparing for the global launch of its new Redmi Note 12 Series on March 27th. We recently revealed that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. While the Redmi Note 12 5G is already available in the global market, many were also expecting a 4G variant to be launched alongside it, but it was not released.
Today, we bring you another piece of news about the Redmi Note 12 4G. The complete spec sheet has been revealed by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, who took to Twitter to share the information along with a screenshot of the smartphone’s specs.”
So, without further ado, let’s get right into what this device will be equipped with:
Storage and RAM
The Redmi Note 12 comes in two storage options, 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128 GB. It also supports expandable memory of up to 512GB with a microSD card. However, users should keep in mind that the available storage and RAM may be less than the total storage due to the operating system preinstalled on the device and the software provided.
Dimensions and Screen
The device measures 165.66mm x 75.96mm x 7.85mm and weighs 183.5g. It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It has a contrast ratio of 4,500,000: 1 and a brightness of 700 nits HBM. The screen also has DCI-P3 and SGS Eye Protection Certification.
Processor
The Redmi Note 12 is powered by a Snapdragon 685 processor with a 6nm process. It has an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of up to 2.8GHz and a Qualcomm Adreno graphics processor.
Camera
The Redmi Note 12 comes with a triple camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera can record 1080P video at 30fps, and the selfie camera can also record 1080P video at 30fps.
Battery and Charging
The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. The package includes a 33W power adapter and USB-C charging cable.
Network and Connectivity
The Redmi Note 12 supports dual SIM (availability may vary by region) and has the following network and connectivity options: 4G LTE FDD: B1/3/5/7/8/20/26/28/32, 4G LTE TDD: B38/40/41, 3G WCDMA: B1//5/8, and 2G GSM: 2/3/5/8. It also features Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and 2.4GHz & 5GHz WiFi.

It also features a fingerprint sensor in the power button, unlocking with AI face recognition and IP53 for water and dust resistance.
Navigation and Audio/Video
The Redmi Note 12 supports GPS, A-GPS, and Glonass for navigation. It also supports a variety of audio and video formats, including MP3, FLAC, APE, DSF, M4A, AAC, OGG, WAV, WMA, AMR, AWB, MP4, M4V, MKV, AVI, WMV, WEBM, 3GP, 3G2, and ASF.
Operating System
The device runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13. It comes with a user manual, guarantee card, protective cover, and a SIM tool in the package.
Difference between the Redmi Note 12 5G and 4G variant
While the Redmi Note 12 5G comes with Android 12, Xiaomi will likely impress its customer base by offering Android 13 out of the box for the 4G variant. However, unlike the 5G variant, the 4G variant will not come with a 6GB RAM option as per the spec sheet shared by the Tipster. Another important thing to note here is that the 4G variant will have a 50MP rear camera, while the 5G variant has a 48MP rear camera.
