Redmi Note 12 Turbo to be priced similar to the OnePlus Ace 2V
Redmi will announce the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chip on March 28 in China. The performance of the new chip is said to be on par with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. Hence, it appears that apart from rivaling the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, the Note 12 Turbo will also be stacked against the Dimensity 9000-powered OnePlus Ace 2V, which went official last month in China. In a new Weibo poster, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the price of the Note 12 Turbo will be not much different from the Ace 2V.
To recall, the OnePlus Ace 2V is available in multiple variants in China, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These models are priced at CNY 2,299 ($340), CNY 2,499 ($365), and CNY 2,799 ($410), respectively.
The Note 12 Turbo might not be made available in the same variants as the Ace 2V. It is speculated that its highest configuration will offer 512 GB of storage.
The tipper added that the first batch of the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset is very expensive. Hence, an SD7+G2-powered phone offering 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage must be priced at CNY 2,000. The Note 12 Turbo is also expected to come in the same configuration as well as a higher version, which appears to be 12GB+512GB. It is likely that the 12GB+256GB edition of the Note 12 Turbo could be priced around CNY 2,299 ($340) like the Ace 2V.
