Redmi Note 12S IMDA certified, launch could be imminent

Recent reports have revealed that Redmi is working on the Redmi Note 12S for the global market. The device, which has the 2303CRA44A model number, has recently been approved by the FCC and EEC certification platforms. The same device has now been approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority. With multiple certifications under its belt, it appears that the Redmi Note 12S’ launch could be only a few days away.

The IMDA certification of the device has revealed that it supports connectivity features, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. However, it does not have any information on the major specifications of the device.

Reports have revealed that the Redmi Note 12S will be a rebranded version of the Note 11S from last year. Both phones are expected to mainly differ in the charging departments. While the Note 11S supported 33W charging, the Note 12S is likely to offer faster 67W charging. Here is a look at the other rumoured specifications of the Note 12S.

The Redmi Note 12S is likely to arrive with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, which will deliver a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may feature the Helio G96 chipset with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The phone may come preinstalled with the Android 13 OS and MIUI 14.

The Note 12S may feature a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The device may come equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) quad camera system.
