Redmi Turbo 3 to support advanced AI air gestures

Redmi will announce the Redmi Turbo 3 and the Redmi Pad Pro tablet on April 10 in China. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that the Turbo 3 will be the company’s first phone to support air gestures. In addition, it will have an AI-driven photo editing feature called the AI Magic Elimination Pro.

According to Redmi, the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip will enable the Turbo 3 to support advanced AI capabilities. The company emphasised that the Turbo 3 will support various air gestures, which will allow users to control it without its display. The video below showcases the different air gestures that will be available on the Turbo 3.

In addition, the Turbo 3 will also come with support for AI Magic Elimination Pro., which relies on AI to retouch photos by automatically removing certain elements from the image. The company claims that the process is faster, more accurate, and smarter thanks to the inclusion of the new chip.

The Redmi Turbo 3 reports have revealed that it will have a 6.67-inch OLED display that supports a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may ship with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. For photography, it may feature a 20-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX882) + 8-megapixel (IMX355, ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.
