Redmi Turbo 4 confirmed to launch with 6550 mAh battery and IP69 protection

Redmi has already announced that the Redmi Turbo 4 will launch on 2nd January 2025, which is just two days away. Just yesterday, Redmi teased the first look of this smartphone, and quite honestly, it looks similar to the recently released iPhone 16. Now, more specifications have been revealed.

As per the new teaser image, it will come with a larger battery size of 6550 mAh, which offers four years of durability and long life. Along with this, it features a dual-boost cold-resistant chip capable of withstanding -35°C ultra-low temperatures—the colder, the better.

Redmi will also offer a five-year warranty on the battery for those who purchase this smartphone during the first sale.

Additionally, it will come with an IP rating of IP66/IP68/IP69, which indicates a high level of protection against dust and water. This is the highest level of protection currently available on the market.

In terms of design, it is suggested that flat rear and side panels with a slightly curved frame be featured. The rear panel has a dual-tone design, distinguished by a red waistline, and features a diamond double-stitched pattern on the right side. A pill-shaped, vertically-placed camera module can be seen towards the top-left corner of the rear panel, housing two internal circular camera sensors. To the right of the camera module, there is a dual-tone LED flashlight.

The rear panel is made of glass material, while markings on the back reveal that it sports a 50MP OIS (f/1.5–f/2.2, 15–26mm) primary shooter. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side panel, while at the top, there is an IR blaster and additional microphone/speaker holes. It is also reported that the two camera units include circular RGB lights.

Regarding its front display, it is flat with thin bezels and a thicker chin. A centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera is also present. Apart from enhanced performance, better battery efficiency has been teased. It is said to support large-scale FPS games, MOBA games, and hero confrontation games at full frames for hours without any issues.

Under the hood, it will come with MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra, which was announced during the launch event of Dimensity 8400.

According to the leaked poster, it will be available in three colour options: White (Lucky Cloud White), Black, and Greenish/Blueish.
