Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Tipped to Feature a Larger Cover Display than its Predecessor
A recent update states that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is to feature a larger cover display. Likely to compete with Motorola’s latest Razr 40 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 to Feature a Larger Cover Display
The South Korean-based tech company, Samsung is expected to launch its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices on the 26th of July 2023, and as per what is now known, the devices are likely to be unveiled at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked Event.
The tipster, Yogesh Brar has now tipped some of the expected specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 ahead of its much-awaited launch and the upcoming device has been tipped to feature a larger 3.4″ AMOLED cover display, than the 1.9″ cover display offered in the previous Galaxy Z Flip 4 device.
We are already now aware that Samsung has adopted a folder design for the cover display of its upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 and with the larger cover display, Samsung might be aiming to compete with its other competitors like Motorola, OPPO, and Vivo who have all launched flip-phones with larger cover displays.
When looking at its competitors, OPPO’s Find N2 Flip has a 3.26″ cover display, the Vivo X Flip has a cover display of 3 inches and Motorola’s latest Razr 40 Ultra has an even larger cover display of 3.6″.
Apart from this, the tipster has also mentioned that the upcoming Samsung flip-phone is also expected to have a 6.7″ full HD+ AMOLED inner display which will support a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Now regarding the other specs that have been tipped, the smartphone has been tipped to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which we saw in Samsung’s flagship S23 series devices and the device is likely to operate on the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 custom user interface. It is also expected to have a RAM of 8GB along with two internal storage options of 128GB and 256 GB.
As far as its rear cameras are concerned, the tipster mentions that the device could arrive with the same 12MP + 12MP dual rear camera setup which we saw in the previous Galaxy Z Flip 5 device.
The device might also be backed by the same 3700 mAh battery and is also likely to support the 25W fast charging feature, both of which are present in its predecessor.
The tipster has also mentioned its expected launch date and as previously mentioned, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 may launch on the 26th of July or maybe a day later, on the 27th of July 2023. It has been tipped to have a price point of $999.
