Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 NBTC certified ahead of July launch
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been approved by the NBTC certification platform in Thailand. The listing reveals that the Samsung phone with model number SM-F946B/DS will debut on the market under the Galaxy Z Fold 5 name.
As expected, the NBTC certification for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has not provided any specific details about its specifications. However, the device’s presence in the certification is a promising indication that Samsung might be preparing for a July launch.
Yesterday, the NBTC authority approved the Galaxy Z Flip, the Galaxy Tab S9, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Previously, the same certification platform certified the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models. All these devices are expected to debut together at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held on July 26 or July 27.
Some reports claimed that the Galaxy Buds 3 TWS earbuds would also debut along with the above-mentioned products. However, newer reports hint that it will launch alongside the Galaxy S23 FE, which is expected to debut at some point in August.
In related news, Samsung is reportedly working on a Snapdragon 888-powered version of the Galaxy S21 FE in India. To recall, the company unveiled the Galaxy S21 FE with Exynos 2100 onboard in January last year. The new Galaxy S21 FE is expected to debut in July with a price tag of around Rs 40,000 in India.
