Samsung Might be Planning to Launch Exynos and Snapdragon Variants for the S24 Series Smartphones

Samsung launched its latest S23 series devices early this year at the company’s Unpacked Event held in the month of February 2023 and the series included three smartphones – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Soon after that, reports started to reveal an upcoming Galaxy S23 FE.

To note, the updates regarding the Galaxy S24 series devices started to arrive much ahead of the S23 series launch itself and the past few months saw a lot of rumours and updates regarding the upcoming S24 series.

All the S23 series devices(excluding the upcoming S23 FE) came with a single processor variant – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and now reports are suggesting that Samsung might be planning to bring two processor variants for its S24 series devices.

Galaxy S24 Series Likely to have Two Processors Variants

Until a few months back, it was reported that only the Galaxy S24 would possibly arrive with two processor variants and now it is likely that Samsung might be planning to launch all the S24 series devices with two chipsets. Just like the previous Galaxy S series smartphones, the Exynos and Qualcomm variants will likely be launched region-wise. In the European market, it will be the Exynos variant that would be made available and in the US, the series is expected to feature the Snapdragon chipset. The two expected chipsets are the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets.

Galaxy users always have had a dislike to its smartphones that were powered by an Exynos chipset and the same was with the case of Galaxy S series devices equipped with the Exynos chipset. What made them dislike the Galaxy S series devices with Exynos chipset more is because of the better performance its Snapdragon counter-variants offered.

For the European users who are disappointed with this news, you shouldn’t be. The benchmarks for the Exynos 2400 chipset that is expected to power the S24 series devices have continued to impress with its performance specs and is to be better than the previous Exynos 2200 chipset.

Most of the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S24 series devices are still under wraps apart from certain rumours and the launch of the devices are really far away. However, let’s hope for more updates to arrive in the coming months.
