[Exclusive] Samsung’s Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G Indian Models Key Improvement Details and Full Specs Revealed

The next Galaxy A-series smartphones – Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G have already been part of many reports and the two upcoming and soon-to-be-released devices have been spotted on multiple certification platforms and other databases as well.

We are now here with an exclusive report for our anticipated readers and what we got to share is the key improvement details and the full spec sheets of both these Galaxy smartphones. Do note that this is about the Indian models.

Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G – Revealed Key Improvement Details and Full Spec Sheets

Firstly speaking of the Galaxy A35 5G device, the previous A34 5G came with 5G and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, whereas its successor is pointed out to support 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. From the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 (6nm) processor, the upcoming device will have the brand’s own Exynos 1380 (5nm) chipset with 81% NPU, 15% GPU, and 18% CPU improvements.

Regarding the storage options, 6GB/8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models were available for the Galaxy A34 5G. A 6GB RAM option won’t be available for the Galaxy A35 5G in India and customers can expect 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants. The up to 1TB microSD card support has been retained.

On the battery side, again there aren’t any improvements and a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support is present within. Certain dimension changes and an increase in weight are also changes in the new model. While the thickness is still the same 8.2 mm, the height is now 161.7 mm (slightly longer) and the width is 78.0 mm (slightly smaller). The weight is also suggested to have increased by 10 gm and is now 209 gm.

The front and rear panel materials have changed as well and both uses Glass – GG Victus+ material. The frame is still made out of plastic. On-screen fingerprint scanner and Samsung Wallet are also still there, and as an addition, the Samsung Knox Vault will also be present on the Galaxy A35 5G.

Coming to the display and camera specs, there are a few slight differences. The display screen is still a 6.6″ large Super AMOLED display which supports a FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits HBM. As upgrades, the successor instead of the U-cut notch design(water-drop) will have the Infinity-O design(punch-hole). A 1,650 nits peak brightness rate is also an improvement.

At the rear, the brand has again retained the triple camera unit with the same 8MP ultrawide and 5MP macro lenses. The main camera is upgraded and is going to be a 50MP OIS camera with Super HDR Video support. The selfie camera is 13MP itself.

About the Galaxy A55 5G, 5G network and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity are revealed to be retained, but the device has a better Exynos 1480 (4nm) processor with 167% NPU, 32% GPU, and 15% CPU improvements. There will also be a base memory upgrade and users will get it with 8GB or 12GB RAM choices and a single 256GB storage option in India. The 6GB RAM won’t be there and a new 12GB RAM choice has been introduced in the Galaxy A55 5G. The expandable storage support of up to 1TB is also present.

Again, for the Galaxy A55 5G device too, the 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support will be retained. The thickness will be the same 8.2 mm, whereas a longer 161.1 mm height and a wider 77.4 mm width is a part of the device. The weight of the device has also increased slightly to 213 gm.

Speaking of the build, there has been some serious improvements. The rear and front materials are now the Glass-GG Victus+, and the frame is metal. Other than the on-screen fingerprint reader and Samsung Wallet, eSIM and Samsung Knox Vault are further additional features.

The cameras are the same and users will be able to find the 12MP(ultrawide) + 50MP(main, OIS) + 5MP(macro) triple camera setup at the rear and a front-facing camera of 32MP. The support for Super HDR Video is a notable upgrade.

For its display, the upcoming Galaxy A55 5G will be having a larger 6.6″ Super AMOLED display with the same FHD+ resolution, the same 120Hz refresh rate, the same 1,000 nits HBM, and the same Infinity-O design(punch-hole). A peak brightness rate of 1,650 nits is the only display upgrade.

The spec sheets further reveal or point to more about the Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G devices and some other key specs such as its iconic design language, Key Island, camera features, AI – content creation features, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, bigger vapor chamber, IP67-rated water and dust resistant body, and also the four OS updates and five years of security updates.

It is also understood from the specs sheets that the Galaxy A35 5G will be provided in Awesome IceBlue, Awesome Navy, and Awesome Lilac colors, while the Galaxy A55 5G will only be having the Awesome IceBlue and Awesome Navy Blue color variants in India.

As mentioned, the launch of the devices is quite near and it is going to take place on the 11th of March 2024 in India. After their launch, these latest Galaxy A-series smartphones will be made available to customers on the 18th of March 2024.
