As per recent reports, Sony is gearing up to unveil it’s next-generation Xperia smartphones in the market. Among them is Sony Xperia 1 V, which has been making rounds online for quite a few days. Recently the renders of this upcoming smartphone also leaked online, now the company has officially announced the launch of this smartphone which will take place at a scheduled event held on May 11. The official announcement was made on the social media handles of Sony Xperia .

As per the teaser video shared by the company, the smartphone will be arriving with a Next-gen sensor and Next-gen Imaging. The launch event will be live-streamed on Sony Xperia’s YouTube channel. The specifications of this upcoming smartphone have also leaked online even before the launch of this device was officially announced.
Sony Xperia 1 V: Specifications (expected)
The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC which might be paired with up to 16 GB RAM. It could feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with 4K resolution.
The device might feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48 MP wide-angle camera and two 12 MP sensors. Along with that, it is expected to sport a 12 MP selfie camera. Sony Xperia 1 V could house a 5000mAh battery.
