As per the article published in Mac Rumours, Jeff Pu, a tech analyst predicts that the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max devices which are likely to launch in the month of September, might see a hike in its price due to many hardware upgrades the smartphones are rumoured to have.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to come equipped with an A17 Bionic chipset and will have an increased RAM of 8GB. The device also features a Titanium frame and will have an ultra-thin curved bezels. The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are also expected to have solid state buttons which will provide haptic feedback as the device is also equipped with two additional Taptic Engines. It will also have a mute button as well.
Now regarding the connectivity option, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro devices will have a Wi-Fi 6E for improved and faster network speeds. The two devices will also feature a periscope telephoto lens which will support atleast 6x optical zoom compared to the 3x zoom in the previous models. All the devices in the iPhone 15 series will also support a USB type-C charging port as well.
Previously an unverified Weibo user had also hinted at a price increase and this is the second hint regarding the possible price hike of the iPhone 15 Pro models. Since 2017, with the release of the iPhone X models, the Apple iPhone Pro models starts at a price of $999 and with the launch of the iPhone XS Max launched in 2018, the iPhone Pro Max models has started to be priced at $1099.
In other countries there has always been price hikes on iPhone devices due to currency fluctuations. For example, in the United Kingdom, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is priced at £1,099 from the £949 price of the iPhone 13 Pro model.
However, it is still not sure whether Apple will increase the price of its iPhone Pro models or not but from the rumoured spec upgrades the smartphone is expected to have and taking into consideration all the other factors including the average inflation rates, Apple is likely to increase the price of its Pro models. It is however only with the launch of the iPhone 15 series this can be confirmed.
