Upcoming Nokia G42 5G with Snapdragon 480+ announced; to feature QuickFix repairability; check specifications here

We recently updated you about the new addition to the Nokia G series phones, the upcoming G42 smartphone.  In recent developments, HMD Global introduced the phone to the world.

Nokia has been in a partnership with iFixit, and as an initiative of the partnership, the G42 phone would be repairable. Nokia’s earlier G22 phone was another repairable phone by the brand.

The upcoming G42 is set to feature QuickFix repairability. This would enable you to replace cracked screens, damaged charging ports, and worn-out batteries by yourself. iFixit provides affordable replacement parts and with the help of step-to-step repair guides, you can repair the Nokia G42 by yourself with more convenience.

Coming to the features and specifications of the phone, it comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The phone has OZO playback which would give you an immersive audio-visual experience.

The G42 is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, which supports 20W fast charging. Additionally, Snapdragon 480+ 5G processor chipset powers the device.

The phone comes in variants of 4GB and 6GB RAM. Each variant would have a storage space of 128 GB. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB, with a microSD card.

In terms of the device’s camera, it features a 50MP main camera and 2MP depth and macro sensors on its rear. On its front, the device houses an 8MP selfie camera.

Furthermore, the device runs on Android 13.

As of now, the phone’s 6GB variant is priced at USD 251/Rs 20,635 approx and is available in the UK from today.
