Upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Smartphone Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset
OnePlus is expected to launch its Ace 2 Pro smartphone in China next month in August and ahead of its expected launch, the upcoming smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Its listing on the Geekbench database has also revealed the performance specs of the upcoming smartphone.

The smartphone has made its appearance on the Geekbench database with the model number, PJA110 and has scored a single-core score of 1576 points and a multi-core score of 5124 points. The database also confirms its motherboard with the codename “Kalama”, revealing that the device will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is the 16GB RAM variant of the smartphone that has made it to the Geekbench platform and the database also confirms that the device will feature the Adreno 740 GPU.
Speaking of its chipset architecture, the upcoming smartphone has a core configuration with a primary core, 4 performance cores and three efficiency cores. The primary core is clocked at 3.19 GHz whereas the performance cores and efficiency cores have clock speeds of 2.80 GHz and 2.01 GHz respectively. This chipset is not the over-cloaked version(leading version) of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone has been part of many rumours and it is also expected that the smartphone may arrive in the Indian market rebranded as the OnePlus 11T smartphone.

With the Geekbench listing, the chipset of the upcoming smartphone has been confirmed but if we look into previous rumours, the device was suggested to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 over-clocked version with a 3.36GHz primary clock speed and other rumours claimed that it will arrive with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone has also been tipped to offer RAM options of upto 24GB and upto 1TB of internal storage options.
For its display, the smartphone is said to have a curved-edged OLED display panel with a screen size of 6.74″ and a 1.5K screen resolution. The display may also support a 120Hz refresh rate as per what has been suggested.
For its cameras, the upcoming device is said to sport a 50MP Sony IMX890 OIS triple camera with two additional cameras of 8MP and 2MP. The smartphone is also likely to have a front-facing camera of 16MP as well.
Regarding its battery backup, rumours suggest the device be backed by a 5000 mAh battery with two fast charging options of 100W and 150W.
As mentioned, most of the specs mentioned above are based on rumours and in order to confirm them we’ll have to wait until official updates arrive. As the launch of the smartphone is expected to take place next month, it is likely that more updates about the smartphone might be on the way and the recent Geekbench appearance may be the first among them.
