Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series could come with Satellite Communication support
Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones can come with Satellite Communication Support, as per the details reportedly shared by the company’s official.
According to the Sisa Journal-E report (translated from Korean), Samsung Electronics System LSI Business Head Yong-In Park made this statement during a presentation. As per the report, officials stated that preparation has already been made to enable communication using satellites which can be seen next year in smartphones.
Samsung can launch the Galaxy S24 series in the market with the support for this feature. However, the company official has not specified the phone that will support this feature and its timeline for when it will be enabled. Similar satellite communication support for nonterrestrial networks was announced by Apple for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series phones.
Even Qualcomm earlier this year announced the Snapdragon satellite support on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that powered the Galaxy S23 series. However, the feature was not enabled on the phones.
Samsung Electronics is also reported to have said that it will install the ray tracing technology with advanced graphic control in its new processor Exynos 2400 that can power the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung was the first to be equipped with ray tracing technology with the launch of Exynos 2200 last year.
