Vivo Teases its Upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Smartphone
Just a week back, Vivo officially released three of its latest X200 series smartphones – the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro mini, and following this, the brand has dropped hints pointing to the release of its next flagship device of the X200 series that will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. While the teaser image doesn’t reveal anything in particular about the upcoming smartphone, this assumption can be considered true when looking at what happened with the previous X100 series.
Both the X100 and X100 Pro devices were unveiled in November 2023 with MediaTek’s 9300 chip, followed by the X100 Ultra model with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor launch in May 2024. [X100s and X100s Pro models with the MediaTek 9300+ chipset also debuted in the month of November 2024.] As mentioned, with these clues, it is possible that it is the X200 Ultra smartphone itself that Vivo has teased. The teaser image also asks us to ‘Stay Tuned’, meaning that a proper clarity on the matter can be acquired any time soon. From reports, it is being said that the X200 Ultra launch will only be taking place in the first half of next year in 2025.
Speaking about some of its expected specifications, the X200 Ultra may be featuring a 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 50MP telephoto camera, and a 200MP telephoto camera. Satellite connectivity support is also among the expected specs. This is all that is known about the upcoming X200 Ultra device and we may have to wait for a while until new updates arrive. To add, we can also expect the X200 Ultra to compete with Ultra models of other brands and this will include Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra and Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra devices.
Stay tuned for more updates.
