Vivo Pad Air tablet receives 3C certification, likely to launch in August
Chinese smartphone brands are said to be working on new tablets for China. Xiaomi and its sub-brand are expected to announce the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max and Redmi Pad 2 in the coming days. OPPO is also said to be working on the OPPO Pad Air for China. Recent reports have also revealed that Vivo is also working on the Vivo Pad Air. It appears that the tablet may launch as early as next month (August) in China, as it has been approved by the country’s 3C certification platform.
Vivo Pad Air 3C certified
A Vivo tablet with model number PA2353 appeared in the Google Supported Devices list last week. The listing confirmed that the device will arrive on the market under the “Vivo Pad Air” name. The same device has now received approval from the 3C authority.
As can be seen in the screenshot above, the Vivo Pad Air has been spotted with a 44W fast charger in 3C’s database. It means that the tablet will offer the same charging capabilities as the more powerful Vivo Pad 2, which debuted earlier this year. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the major specs of the Pad Air.
In related news, Vivo is said to be working on the Vivo Watch 3 smartwatch and the Vivo X100 series for the Chinese market. Rumours are rife that these products will debut in November this year.
It is speculated that the X100 and X100 Pro will come equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chipset. The X100 Pro+, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, may debut with the Vivo X Fold 3 foldable phone in the first quarter of 2024.
