Vivo announced the Vivo S16, S16 Pro, and S16e in December 2022 in China. The vanilla model has been available in shades like black, mint, and gold since launch. Today, the company announced its “Spring Blue” colour variant for the home market.
The Vivo S16 comes in multiple configurations, such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. As per the S16 listing on Vivo China’s website, only the three starting models will be available in the new Spring Blue shade.
The new colour variant is now available for pre-order through the official website, Jingdong Mall, and Tmall. It is available with a starting price of 2,999 Yuan (~$435).
Vivo S16 specifications
The Vivo S16 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on an OriginOS 3-based Android 13 OS. For security, it features an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 870-powered device has LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 4,600mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.
On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera with a dual-LED flash. The OIS-enabled 64-megapixel primary camera on the back is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
