Vivo will announce the Vivo S17 and Vivo S17 Pro on May 31 in China. As our exclusive report revealed, these devices have V2283A and V2284A model numbers, respectively. Another Vivo phone with model number V2282A has been spotted at Chinese certification platforms, such as TENAA and 3C recently. It appears that this device will have the Vivo S17t marketing name and may launch on May 31. The S17 and S17t are expected to have identical designs and specs. However, both models are likely to feature different chipsets.
The Snapdragon 782G will be the Vivo S17’s power source, according to reports. The TENAA certification listing of the Vivo S17t states that it features a 3.0GHz chipset. As can be seen below, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the S17t will feature the Dimensity 8050 chipset.
The rest of the specifications will be identical on both models. The S17t will arrive with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a centred punch-hole, curved edges, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The screen will support a 1.5K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device will have an autofocus-enabled 50-megapixel front-facing camera. It will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V main camera and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide snapper on the back. The handset will run on Android 13 OS and OriginOS 3.1.
The Dimensity 8050-powered Vivo S17t will arrive in RAM variants, such as 8 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB. It will be offered in storage choices, such as 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The device will pack a 4,505mAh battery that supports 80W charging.
