Vivo S18 series colour options tipped, December launch likely

Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo S18 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo today to leak the colour variants of the Vivo S18 series.

Earlier this week, a Vivo S18 series phone bearing the V2323A model number was approved by China’s 3C authority. It is speculated that Vivo devices with model numbers V2324A and V2332A that have appeared in China’s MIIT database could also be a part of the Vivo S18 family. The lineup is expected to include three models, such as the Vivo S18e, S18, and S18 Pro.

As per the leak by DCS, the entire Vivo S18 series will support 80W charging. He added that it will be available in three shades, such as black, green, and colourful. The latter appears to be a rainbow-like variant that showcases different shades.

DCS added that Vivo is working on phones powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9200 Plus chipsets. However, it is unclear whether these will power the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro or the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro.

To recall, the Vivo S17 and S17 Pro came equipped with the Snapdragon 778 Plus and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro featured Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200 Plus chipsets, respectively. Based on the chipsets that the company has used for the S17 series and Neo 8 lineup, it seems that the S18 may feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while its Pro edition could be equipped with the Dimensity 9200+. Since the Vivo X100 series is scheduled to launch on Nov. 13, it appears that the S18 series may debut in December in China.
