Vivo silently announced Y18e for the Indian Market with 6.56″ LCD Screen, Helio G85 SOC and no NFC
Vivo has a lot of smartphones under its sleeves with the repackaged stuff. And now a new or rather repackaged Y18e has been announced silently by Vivo. The product is listed on the Vivo India website, however, the pricing and availability are missing. Only the specs have been revealed via the listing and it to be a repackaged Vivo Y03 which was recently released in Indonesia. Previously its sibling Vivo Y18 was also spotted on the BIS hinting it will also be coming to India. And probably with the same spec sheet.
Vivo Y18e Specs
The screen features a 6.56″ LCD capacitive multi-touch display that offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz or 90 Hz, with a normal brightness of 440 nits and a peak brightness of 528 nits. It comes with IP54 protection and weighs about 185g. It is made of a composite plastic frame and has dimensions of 16.363 cm (163.63 mm) × 7.558 cm (75.58 mm) × 0.839 cm (8.39 mm).
Under the hood, it features the same Helio G85 12nm SoC and comes with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14. It has a 4GB+4GB LPDDR4X RAM (virtual RAM) option with a single storage option of 64GB eMMC 5.1. However, you also get an option to expand storage to 1TB with an expandable SD card.
The Vivo Y18e has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP main camera and a 0.08MP secondary camera with rear flash. For selfies, you get a 5MP front camera. It is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging capability.
For connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, but it doesn’t support NFC.
Pricing and Availability
Vivo hasn’t announced the pricing nor its availability for the Indian market, but it is expected to be announced soon. However, the Vivo Y03 was launched in two configurations, but the Indian variant only has the 64GB option. The pricing of it is IDR 1,299,000 (Approx. ₹6,677.59), so Vivo may keep the pricing around ₹7,000.
