Vivo V2279A spotted with 18W charger at 3C certification

A mysterious Vivo phone with model number V2279A was seen in the database of China’s TENAA certification platform last week. The certification revealed only images of the phone. It appears that the smartphone is now inching towards its launch as it has been approved by the country’s 3C authority.

The V2279A smartphone has appeared with an 18W charger in its 3C certification. The listing also confirms that it will be a 5G-ready device.

Vivo V2279A 3C listing

The rear design of the Vivo V2279A is quite similar to the Vivo Y78+ 5G (model number V2271A), which went official recently in China. The V2279A seems to have a waterdrop notch display on the front. It is unclear whether it has an LCD or AMOLED panel. The back panel of the device has a dual-camera system with an LED flash.

The right side of the device has a volume rocker and a power key, which appear to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. At present, there is no information available on the final moniker of the device. The TENAA listing of the device is yet to reveal its key specifications.

With 3C and TENAA certifications under the belt, it appears that it will not take too long for the Vivo V2279A to go official. The smartphone is likely to go official either by the end of this month or at the beginning of May in China.
