Vivo V25 Pro vs Oppo Reno 8: A Spec Comparison

Vivo V25 Pro vs Oppo Reno 8

The Vivo V25 Pro and the Oppo Reno 8 were launched with just a one-month gap. Vivo V25 Pro was launched on August 17, 2022, and the Oppo Reno 8 got launched one month before the Vivo V25 Pro on 18th of July, 2022.

Design

The Oppo Reno 8 has a height of 160.6 mm a width of 73.4 mm and a thickness of 7.6 mm. The Vivo V25 Pro has a dimension of 158.9 mm in height, 73.52 mm in width, and 8.62 mm in thickness.

Vivo V25 Pro is a bit heavier than the Oppo Reno 8 which only weighs 179 gm. The Vivo V25 Pro weighs 190 gm.

Both phones also have different color options on offer. The Oppo Reno 8 comes in Shimmer Black and Shimmer Gold color options and the Vivo V25 Pro comes in Pure Black and Sailing Blue.

Processor

Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor and run on the Android v12 operating system.

Connectivity

The Oppo Reno 8 and the Vivo V25 Pro support 5G connectivity along with 4G, 3G and 2G support.

Vivo V25 Pro has a Bluetooth support of version 5.2 whereas the Oppo Reno 8 has version 5.3 Bluetooth support.

Display

The Vivo V25 Pro has a bigger screen size of 6.56 inches while the Oppo Reno 8 has a screen size of 6.43 inches. However, the Oppo Reno 8 has a slightly higher screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 Pixels and the Vivo V25 Pro has a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 Pixels.

Both smartphones also have an AMOLED display. The Oppo Reno 8 has a lower refresh rate of 90Hz when compared to the Vivo V25 Pro which has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Oppo Reno 8 has a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP main camera while the Vivo V25 Pro has a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP main camera.

Vivo V25 Pro and Oppo Reno 8 have an on-screen optical fingerprint sensor.

The device also has other sensors which include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, and gyroscope.

The Oppo Reno 8 also has an additional geomagnetic sensor and a step-recording function.

Battery

The Oppo Reno 8 has a battery backup of 4500 mAh and the Vivo V25 Pro has a battery backup of  4830 mAh.

The Vivo V25 Pro has a fast charging of  66W while the Oppo Reno 8 supports a fast charging feature of 80W.

Price

The price of the Vivo V25 Pro starts at Rs. 35,999. The Oppo Reno 8 has a much lower price starting at Rs. 29,999.
