Vivo V29 receives NBTC certification, likely to launch in July

As June draws to a close, Vivo has yet to make any announcements regarding the release of the Vivo V29 series of smartphones. This suggests that the company may be planning to unveil the new series in July instead. Excitingly, the smartphones have recently obtained approval from Thailand’s NBTC authority, indicating that their launch is imminent and that they may make their debut in Thailand in July.

In the NBTC’s database, the Vivo V29 has been spotted with the V2250 model number. The listing confirms that it is a 5G-enabled device but does not reveal anything else about its specifications.

The GCF authority approved the same device last week. The handset is expected to release in multiple markets since it has been approved by certification platforms, such as IMDA (Singapore), EEC (Europe), SDPPI (Indonesia), and Bluetooth SIG.

Earlier this month, the Vivo V29 was seen on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with the Snapdragon 778G Plus, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 13. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the other specifications of the V29.

Apart from the Vivo V29, the company is also expected to unveil the Vivo V29 Pro, which was spotted on Vivo Philippines with key specifications earlier this month. The device is expected to arrive with a 6.7-inch OLED Full HD+ 120Hz screen, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 66W charging.
