Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro launched in India, Open sale to start from March 14

After many leaks and certifications, Vivo has finally launched its Vivo V30 series in the Indian market. The V30 series launched today includes a Vanilla variant, the V30, and a pro variant, the V30 Pro. If we talk about the specs, they are very similar to the ones already available in the global market, such as Thailand.

Now coming to the specs

Both the Vanilla and the Pro variants come with a 6.78″ Curved FHD+ AMOLED Display and offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. According to Vivo, both smartphones offer a Local Peak Brightness of 2800 nits. The Vivo V30 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm chipset), while the Pro variant comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G (4nm chipset). Both the base and the pro variant will come with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.

Moving on to the camera specs, the Pro variant offers a triple rear camera setup of 50 MP AF+OIS Sony IMX920 main + 50 MP AF Sony IMX816 portrait + 50 MP AF wide-angle. But the vanilla variant offers a dual rear camera setup of 50 MP AF+OIS main + 50 MP AF wide-angle. The front selfie camera for both the Pro and Vanilla is the same, which is 50MP and comes with autofocus. And also offers a Rear Smart Aura Light / Rear flash.

It’s interesting to see that the Vanilla variant offers Bluetooth version 5.4, while the Pro variant offers 5.3. Both smartphones offer an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Both models have a battery capacity of 5000 mAh and support wired fast charging of 80W. While examining the specs of both of these smartphones, one thing I noticed is that neither of them supports NFC. I mean, not to be overly concerned, but it would have been better to see NFC support for a Rs 41,000 (Pro Variant) smartphone.

Pricing and Availability

As per Vivo, both of the smartphones are available for pre-orders now, and the open sale will commence on March 14th. The Vanilla variant comes in three configurations: 8GB + 128GB at Rs 33,999, 8GB + 256GB at Rs 35,999, and 12GB + 256GB at Rs 37,999. On the other hand, the Pro variant comes in two configurations: 8GB + 256GB at Rs 41,999 and 12GB + 512GB at Rs 46,999.

You can pre-book this smartphone from Flipkart and the Vivo official website. According to information shared by Vivo, you can further get a discount of 10% if you are an ICICI or HDFC bank customer. This offer is only valid for online customers and will start on March 7th and end on March 20th, 2024. If you pre-book this smartphone from Flipkart, you can get a 10% discount if you use an HDFC or SBI bank card.
