Vivo V40 Lite launching on September 25th in Indonesia, real life images leaked along with specs

We recently informed you about Vivo’s plan to launch the Vivo V40 Lite with a refreshed design in the Indonesian market. The phone will be available in both 4G and 5G variants, as listed on an Indonesian retailer’s website. Now, the launch date for this smartphone in Indonesia has been confirmed as 25th September 2024. In addition to the launch date, real-life images of the device have surfaced online, along with key specifications. Both variants will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Vivo V40 Lite 4G and 5G real-life images

The image shown below reveals the in-box items that the Vivo V40 Lite will come with. These include a charger, a transparent mobile cover, a USB Type-C cable, and a SIM card tray remover eject pin.

Starting with the design, the Vivo V40 Lite offers (Via Raihan Han)a refreshing look with a capsule-shaped camera module featuring three circular cutouts. These include two camera sensors and Vivo’s signature aura lighting. The aura lighting surrounds the camera module, giving it a distinct look. Additionally, the back features a dual flash positioned next to the topmost camera sensor, further enhancing the sleek and modern design.

The 5G variant of the Vivo V40 Lite will be offered in two colour options: Titanium Silver and carbon Black, while the 4G version will come in two colours: Titanium Silver, Carbon Black & Pearl Violet.

As for the specifications, both variants will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets. The 4G model will feature the Snapdragon 685 4G chipset, whereas the 5G variant will ship with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The 4G version is expected to come with 8GB of physical RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, along with at least 256GB of storage.

Both smartphones will run FuntouchOS 14, based on Android 14, and are set to receive 2 major OS upgrades, along with 3 years of security patch updates.

The 5G variant of the Vivo V40 Lite will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, complemented by an 8MP 120 degree ultra-wide sensor and the Aura lighting. In contrast, the 4G variant will also have the same 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, but with a 2MP secondary sensor alongside the Aura lighting. Both variants will come equipped with a 32MP front selfie camera.

Going further down the spec sheet, both the 4G and 5G variants of the Vivo V40 Lite will feature a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Additionally, both models will come with IP64-rated protection, AI Eraser, AI Enhancement, dual stereo speakers with a 300% audio booster, two microphones, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The 4G variant will be available in two memory options: 8GB/128GB priced at IDR 3.299 million, and 8GB/256GB priced at IDR 3.399 million. The 5G variant is going to be available in a single memory option of 8GB/256GB, priced at IDR 4.299 million.
