Vivo’s fold phone, the Vivo X Fold 2 is soon to have its launch and as per reports is expected to be released in April. Now a recent update has revealed the camera specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

Vivo X Fold 2
Based on a recent post by the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, it has been revealed that the Vivo X Fold 2, soon to be released in the month of April will feature an IMX866+V2 ISP triple camera setup and will have no periscope telephoto camera. He further said that this is going to be 10% lighter than the previously launched Vivo X fold.
The smartphone was also showcased at the 2023 Boao Forum in China and a poster showing Hu Baishan, Vivo’s Executive Vice President and Li Baodong, Boao Forum’s Secretary General holding the smartphone was shared via Vivo’s official Weibo handle.
Speaking of the design, unlike its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 2 only has a round camera module on its rear with its triple camera setup and a circular LED ring housed inside it. The ZEISS branding is given outside the camera module and below it, we get to see the Vivo branding. From what it seems, the device might be having a curved edge cover display.
Now regarding the other specifications, the Vivo X Fold is going to be the first foldable device to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will operate on the Android 13-based OriginOS 3 custom user interface. The smartphone from its appearance on AnTuTu has been revealed to have LPDDR5x RAM of 12GB and a UFS 4.0 storage of 512GB.
The smartphone’s foldable display is also expected to have a 2K resolution and is likely to have a refresh rate of 120Hz. Reports are also revealing that the Vivo X Fold 2 will have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor both on its foldable display and on its cover display.
Apart from the Sony IMX866 primary camera of 50MP, the Vivo X Fold 2 will also have a 12MP IMX663 ultrawide camera and a 12MP IMX663 telephoto camera.
The device is also expected to come equipped with a 4800 mAh battery which will support a fast charge feature of upto 120W and a 50W wireless charging feature.
